Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Ruling halts Walgreens planned in Point Breeze

The zoning board has mailed out the official ruling on the protest appeal filed by the community. They ruled in the community’s favor. You can see the full details in the letter sent out.
The board ruled that the Zoning Administrator should not have approved the site plan and that the site plan approval should be rescinded.

The developers for Walgreens appear to now be going back to the original plan for trying to rezone the residential properties. They had previously abandoned this approach last fall in light of the residential opposition.
