City Council Delays Vote on Rezoning Park Place for Walgreens
City Council has decided to delay any decision on rezoning Park Place residences to accommodate Walgreens. The stated intention being that Walgreens should be working more closely with the community to try and address the issues brought forth by the many community members who showed up at the public hearing. To that end, Twanda Carlisle promised to initiate and facilitate continued discussions with representatives from the community organization.
Wow, this is very good news. It confirms that we have thrown a large monkey wrench into the Walgreen’s machine. From one whose property would be directly affected, thanks to all who devoted time, money and skill to the job.
