Tonight is National Night Out. NNO has proven to be an effective, inexpensive and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation.
It’s traditional to display outdoor and porch lights and have front porch vigils to welcome and chat with your neighbors. See: http://www.nationalnightout.org/nno/about.html for more information.

Council woman Carlisle’s office called to inform me the vote was delayed due to her unavailability for September 6th.]

Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 10am, Pittsburgh City Council has scheduled a preliminary vote on the rezoning request from Walgreens developers. If they vote in the affirmative, they will then take a final vote on the following Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 10am. (more…)
