The Greater Park Place Neighborhood Association and The Regent Square Civic Association invite you to a meeting with Pittsburgh Schools Superintendent Mark Roosevelt on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be held at Waverly Church on the corner of Forbes and South Braddock avenues.

In a recent Post-Gazette story, Superintendent Roosevelt said he plans a review of magnet programs to determine whether they’re as rigorous as they need to be and whether the mix of magnet programs meets the needs of students and parents. Come and find out what are his plans. Join us for this important meeting.

The Greater park Place Neighborhood Association will be holding it’s annual meeting on Thursday October 4th, at 7:30pm. The meeting will be hosted at the Church of the Nazarene, 300 Peebles Avenue, at the corner of Peebles and Waverly.

The entire community is invited to come, and learn more about the organization and the efforts planned for the coming 2007/2008 fiscal year. Come support your community!

The fall clean-up campaign is coming soon. Park Place’s clean-up date is Saturday October 13th, 2007. We had good turn out last spring, and are looking for and even better one this fall. We will meet again at the corner of Forbes and South Braddock, in front of the Waverly church, at 9 the morning. Bags will be provided.
