This is not good enough. There must be parking in front of the school after 5pm for local residents or purchase the dilapidated house on Waverly behind the school and use that for visitor/employee parking. When I come home in the evening and
I was unable to attend either of the meetings regarding this issue, so I must voice my concerns here. If I cannot get a space across the street from my house in the 200 block of South Braddock (which I frequently can't), I can safely park in front of the school. It is well lit and well traveled. Those of us that live on South Braddock Ave. in the immediate vicinity of the school may be a minority in the neighborhood at large, but I think our needs should be of a more pressing concern to Councilman Burgess and the private school that wishes to locate on a busy street with little on street parking to begin with. I and several of my neighbors are going to be forced to park our vehicles several blocks away from our houses if this goes through as proposed. And the effect of traffic in the area has that really been throughly studied? During school dates and times? As it is currently configured, doesn't the property bring in taxes to the City and County? As far as I am concerned if the building were to stay in its current configuration, none of us would be worse off.

Sincerely,

Terence J. Golightly

Just like to know if there are any comments out there regarding the ECS meeting on the 14th. I looked over the presentation and meeting notes and was not impressed with any of it. This will become a traffic nightmare!

Not sure how to post an original entry...but I too have lost my dog. His name is Hernan "Air-non" and he is a pomeranian. He weighs about 9 pounds and is tan. He ran out around 6 pm this evening and has not been seen since. One neighbor said that she thinks she saw him around that time following two other dogs that were with their owner so I am hoping someone has taken him home to care for. It is very important I find him soon...he needs seizure medicine each evening and is on a special diet (people food can kill him.) Anyway, I am willing to give a reward. Thank you to anyone who can help and thanks to those of you who have already helped me search. I will post a picture as soon as I find a digital one.

Hello!

I've had a Childrens' basketball hoop in my back yard for a week. Not sure who it may belong to. I'm afraid it may have been taken locally and then placed there when those responsible may have had second thoughts. I'm at 529 East End, at the corner of East End and Cromwell.

Thanks!

Someone found Ronan in Frick Park whan it was raining and he looked obviously lost. She brought him to her home in Swissvale and called the Animal Rescue League to report it. When Katherine called them in the course of her investigations they told her a dog of that description was found and gave her the contact info, so we got Ronan back that way from a wonderful "good Samaritan" willing to pick up and house a strange dog until the owner (us) could be found. I was surprised at how attached I had become to the dog. Thanks for your support.

So the consensus plan a local architect was commissioned to draw up- after meeting with over 40 people from the community and after several sessions, was all theater? I thought we already identified house prototypes that maintained the neighborhood character and materials? Was this just a waste of the people's time and taxpayer's money?

What part of consensus plan do they not understand? So much time and money was already invested in Rothchild Architects, it is a shame that the developer should be allowed to go off and do what benefits them!

Well I can certainly add my voice to this as a community member that I too am very concerned about this surprise turn of events. I had every expectation of the community being part of this process. If the county and Action Housing would include the community in these discussions, they might not be under the misinformation that you are standing alone on this.
